Water is an eye candy plugin which offers the ability to create water ripple effects on the screen.

TableOfContents

Usage

Drawing trails with the mouse

To begin drawing trails of ripples on the screen with the mouse, hold down <Control><Super> and move the mouse. The mouse will continue to draw trails for as long as the keys are held down.

The rain effect

The rain effect causes random raindrops to appear on the screen, which behaves like the surface of a pond. It can be toggled on and off by pressing <Shift>F9.

Configuration

Offset Scale

The amount of distortion of the background underneath the water ripple. A low value will produce a low disruption and a high value will produce a larger disruption.

Rain Delay

The delay (in milliseconds) between one raindrop and the next. The minimum is 1 (equivalent to 1/1000 of a second), and the maximum is 3600000 (equivalent to 1 hour).

Title wave

If enabled, the titlebar of the focused window will send out ripples if the system bell (ie. system beep) is triggered. This acts as a visual bell.
